The Gallery was established in 2022 with an inaugural interactive online exhibition featuring over 200 artists. We welcomed over 2400 visitors in the first week who engaged with the diverse visual, audio, and written artworks. If you would like to view this exhibition, please click here.
The second exhibition evolved to become a physical exhibition and community showcase event at The Royal Children’s Hospital, creating space for in-person dialogue, connection, and celebration. This exhibition is also available for online viewing, and includes podcast episodes that feature interviews with each artist. If you would like to view this exhibition, please click here.

The Children's Mental Health Gallery is an initiative of the Melbourne Children's Campus Mental Health Strategy - a collaboration between the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne (RCH), the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and funded by The Royal Children’s Foundation.
The Strategy aims to transform how mental health is understood, cared for and experienced across the Campus. At the core of this is a commitment to engaging people with lived and living experiences of mental health challenges and recovery.
